Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Based Training application at sport.bigapp.io (the "Service"), operated by Jan Adamski (NIP PL5342201833), Poland ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Based Training aggregates your training data from connected third-party platforms and generates structured workouts and training recommendations. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and is under active development; features may change.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Connected third-party services
The Service integrates with platforms such as Strava, Wahoo, and Garmin. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms and privacy policies. You authorize us to access and process your data from a platform when you connect it, and you may revoke that access at any time. Based Training is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with those platforms. Their availability, rate limits, and policy changes can affect or interrupt syncing, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
The experimental Garmin connection does not use Garmin's official OAuth authorization flow. If you choose it, you authorize Based Training to process your Garmin email address, password, and any MFA verification code transiently in server memory to complete the connection. We do not persist those credentials; after sign-in we retain only encrypted access and refresh tokens. Garmin may change or block this unsupported connection without notice, and it may conflict with Garmin's terms. When completed-activity import is enabled for a connected account, Based Training checks that destination for a matching recording before sending the original provider FIT file. A delayed device sync can still result in a duplicate, and Garmin may not apply Training Status, Load, or other device metrics to a privately imported recording.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt or overload it, gain unauthorized access, scrape or reverse-engineer it, infringe others' rights, violate a connected platform's terms, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Health and safety disclaimer
The Service is not medical advice. Workouts, training zones, and recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical or coaching advice. Exercise carries inherent risks. Consult a qualified physician before starting or changing any training program, and stop and seek help if you feel unwell. You participate at your own risk and are solely responsible for your own health and safety.
7. AI-generated content
Some workouts and recommendations are generated using automated and AI systems and may contain errors or be unsuitable for your circumstances. Use your own judgment and the guidance of a qualified professional before acting on them.
8. Intellectual property
Your training data and content remain yours. The Based Training software, branding, and site are owned by us and protected by applicable laws; these Terms do not grant you rights to them beyond using the Service as intended. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process your data to operate the Service for you.
9. Subscriptions and payments
Some features may require a paid plan. If you purchase one, fees and billing intervals are shown at checkout, paid plans are billed in advance, and charges are non-refundable except where required by law. We will give notice of price changes before they take effect.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synced from third parties will be accurate or complete.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or health-related outcomes arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service, and we may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
